Still Life Research

SInce this section of the course involves still life I thought I would visit a couple of  galleries and see if any local contemporary artists are labouring over bowls of fruit and veg in time honoured fashion and to my surprise they actually are.

Following on from my visit to The Biscuit Factory last week I took the opportunity whilst at Newcastle to visit the Gallery of the North-East Art Collective in the Eldon Gardens shopping centre.

A day off work gave me the opportunity to begin my exploration of other artists work by making a visit to The Biscuit Factory, an independent commercial art gallery in Newcastle. I’ve visited the other galleries in town but never this one so it seemed like a good place to start.
